Literary journey is like a train journey: Kalia
Mamta Kalia, renowned author and poet, believes that the literary journey is no less than any train journey. “Like in life, in a train journey, you find new companions, and some of them leave when their respective stations come,” she said. “Writing is like falling in love. Even before the completion of one story, another story would strike my mind. This is because of my love for writing that stories start taking shape one after the other,” said Mamta Kalia at the inaugural session of Kalam in Bilaspur. Talking to conversationalist Satish Jaiswal, Kalia shared her literary journey. At the end of the session, the author’s book – Mamata ki kahanian (Stories of Mamata) were given away to lovers of literature, who had turned up to listen to the author. Getting the author to sign copies of her books and having photographs clicked made the event memorable for the audience.
