Founded on 28 November (William Blake’s Birthday), 2003, Vatayan: Poetry on South Bank, is a London based voluntary organisation, created to promote and organise social, cultural and educational activities for the benefit of poets, writers and performing artists. Founded by Divya Mathur, MA, FRSA, it was inaugurated by Dr Satyendra Srivastava, former Reader, Cambridge University, at the Royal Festival Hall at the South Bank- London, in the presence of the UK based reputed poets, scholars, artists and media personnel.
The foundation serve as a fresh, innovative platform for the promotion exchange among Indian languages and literature with the international literature. The foundation will be a natural home for international and national writers and illustrators by giving out various scholarships and fellowships to scholars of Indian and non-Indian origins to discover and develop discourses in Indian art, literature, children’s literature, music, performing arts, non-fiction. A major strive of the foundation will be in the direction of getting Hindi recognized as a UNESCO language.
India and the UK have a long and rich history. UK/India 2017 aims to enrich relationships at all levels of society, their institutions and government, building a shared future for generations to come.

Quilon is a restaurant that opened in London in 1999 and quickly established South-west coastal Indian cuisine on the international food-lovers map, winning a Michelin star in 2008 which they have retained ever since. Their menu embodies a unique blend of ethnic and progressive dishes with seafood at its heart but also offering meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes, mostly designed for sharing.
